The Work of Byron Katie and Non-violent Communication
Effective Conversations: An introduction to Non-violent Communication: October 28, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Work of Byron Katie: October 28, 7:30-9:30 p.m. October 29 + 30, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
"Human interaction can be hell... or it can be a great spiritual practice... When you receive whoever comes into your life at this moment as a noble guest, when you allow each person to be who they are, they begin to change. You may meet yourself and them for the first time" ~Byron Katie
In this workshop, we are offering concrete tools to
- Free yourself from grudges and resentments
- Express yourself honestly and with compassion
- Open to new possibilities in your connections, and
- Receive the love that is already available to you.
We will be using The Work of Byron Katie to look into the mirror our relationships provide, and question the stories we are holding on to. We will guide you in Non-violent (Empathic) Communication, Mindfulness Meditations and The Work to bring to the surface those beliefs that contribute to creating "hell" within and in your relationships.
With an open mind, you may discover how you compromise your own happiness and freedom in the pursuit of pleasing others. What thoughts/stories stop you from living honestly and in your own integrity? How does your search for love, approval and appreciation limit your ability to live a free and happy life?
Practice The Work with the freedom of "beginner's mind" no matter what your level of experience is. Please note that we will observe silence outside of the work room. Meet peaceful you in this nurturing and supportive space.
As facilitators, we use our skills to support you to learn practical and powerful tools that will benefit you for the rest of your life. Stretch and grow beyond limiting beliefs, and enhance your ability to lead a deeply fulfilling life, here and now.
